“We lost my grandmother last Friday, 9/11 to a short battle with cancer. I reached out to Lori this past Sunday regarding the situation. My daughter just turned four on 9/15. She was with my grandmother every day while I was working, ever since she was baby. Grandma was her best friend. She understands that grandma is up in the clouds and not sick anymore, but she still asks questions. She misses her a lot. Anyways, I thought maybe a grandma doll would help my daughter cope with this huge loss. I had mixed feelings about it, but something told me to try. Lori responded Sunday evening and had the doll shipped out by Monday. It arrived in the mail yesterday and as soon as I took it out of the box, my daughter said “my grandma” and stated hugging it. She’s so happy to carry her around. Grandma will be present at her bday party.”
